Eamonn McCormack is an Irish guitarist, songwriter and music producer. As a blues musician he is considered one of the best in the blues, blues rock and Celtic blues field.

 

What Rory Gallagher embodied in the 70s and Gary Moore in the late 90s, Eamonn McCormack presents for today in the blues. Meanwhile, the musician has expanded his influences. These range from Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Thin Lizzy, as well as the Dutch group Focus.

On tour and in the studio he plays with the greats of their field like Rory Gallagher, Johnny Winter, Jan Akkerman (formerly of Focus), Pat Travers, George Thorogood & The Destroyers, Walter Trout, Popa Chubby, Brian "Robo" Robertson (Thin Lizzy, Motöhead) and Nils Lofgren.

 

His album "Story Teller" (release: May 2020), was released in Europe and the UK, where it reached #1 on the blues charts in more than half a dozen countries, and was released in the US in May 2021, where it was met with a great first official reaction in the media. 

 

With his idiosyncratic sound of playing the blues, he quickly made a name for himself in the scene. Eamonn also played on WDR Rockpalast with Lynyrd Skynyrd & The Band as well as alongside Kenny Wayne Shepherd and the Kris Barras Band.

 

Eamonn and his band were often referred to by the press as the "Modern Day Power Trio" and that has not changed to this day.

 

His performances both live and in the studio are a musical "hurricane" blowing audiences away. In July 2022, Eamonn and his band recorded his self-titled new album "Eamonn McCormack", which to this day has great resonance in the international media.
